Are the endless gray skies, stormy squalls and torrential rain starting to feel a bit apocalyptic? Hong Kong artist Nadim Abbas couldn’t agree more and has designed the ultimate uber-cool space for you to weather the storm in style. Opening its iron-clad doors just in time for Art Basel, the 2014 pop-up Absolut Art Bar is entitled “Apocalypse Postponed” and will be set in a post-apocalyptic bunker in the heart of Causeway Bay. A series of guest DJs, live music, screenings and dance performances, including the legendary electronic group Silver Apples, post-punk rockers Re-TROS, guitarist Li Jianhong, and local talents Atomic Bubbles, Meta Fog, Stoic Strangers and Pando’s People will be hitting the stage each evening, as Absolut’s bartenders mix up lethal cocktails set to have some seriously catastrophic consequences on your decision making and destroy any hopes you had for an early bedtime…
The Absolut Art Bar will be open to the public, every evening during Art Basel and entry is complimentary.
A night of lethal cocktails and psychedelic dreams awaits!
