Harlem Gospel Choir – Dec 28, 29
Bringing their powerful voices, swaying hips and clapping hands all the way from New York City, the famed Harlem Gospel Choir touches down just after Christmas to give a show-stopping performance in Hong Kong.  Their inspired and energetic sets will include Christmas carols, gospel music and a tribute to Whitney Houston, featuring some of her greatest hits. Pop-Up Opera – through Dec 18
The Foundation for the Arts & Music in Asia will be bringing their Popup Opera Tent – a beautiful 6 metre-high, intimate cinema space with luxury seating for 40 viewers – to the heart of Central. Playing on the big screen will be The Traviata Story, a 90-minute documentary narrated by award-winning actress Louisa So, including excerpts from some of the world’s most celebrated productions of Verdi’s beautiful and tragic love story. The Nutcracker – Dec 14 -16 and 20 – 26
This year, everyone’s favourite Christmas ballet tradition has been re-imagined for the 21st century by celebrated Australian choreographer Terence Kohler. This brand-new production, with an entirely fresh look and feel, will be accompanied by Tchaikovsky’s magical score, performed live by the Hong Kong Sinfonietta. The Snow Queen – Dec 13 – 16

SantaCon – Dec 15
Buckle up your belt and hold onto your hat, the one-and-only SantaCon is coming to Hong Kong! SantaCon is a non-denominational, non-commercial, non-political and non-sensical Santa Claus convention that occurs once a year in cities around the globe. On December 15th, expect to see a wave of red suited, white bearded old men and women making their way through the bars and restos of Central. Christmas Eve “Under the Stars” at Armani / Prive – Dec 24
As the sun sets on Christmas Eve, the stunning terrace of Armani / Prive will come alive with a sparkling celebration to remember.
