Primal Heat: DSTS Chic Safari Party

This Tuesday, October 13th, Dim Sum & Then Some rolled out the zebra carpet and took HK’s style-setters on a wild and memorable journey into the heart of Africa with their Chic Safari Party at dragon-i. Over 600 fiercely dressed guests were in attendance for this unforgettable party filled with sizzling cocktails, tribal beats and animalistic pleasures, where no one was tamed!

Safari Chic
From the enchanting crowd to the rockin’ entertainment to the feral ambience, dragon-i was the only place to be this Tuesday night. Guests were whisked off Wyndham Street and into a rustic chic safari camp complete with scenic photography and tactile animal print touches. From leopard to zebra, stripes and spots were out in full force on the city’s glamour girls, making an appearance on everything from sleek maxi dresses to thigh skimming minis. Men donned safari jackets. . . or nothing at all, as they showed off their own not too shabby hides.

Tribal Beats
The night’s entertainment could have rivalled any territorial animal battle. Straight from the tribes of Africa, a drummer filled the club with intensely dramatic percussion. While the upbeat rhythmic tunes spun by DJ Dim Sum kept guests moving on the dance floor until the early hours of the morning. A duo of dancers, who’ve previously performed with Janet Jackson, made an appearance on Tuesday night wowing attendees with a wildcat performance created especially for this party.

Out of Africa
Models wearing the latest pieces fromESCADA‘s ocelot printed Fall/Winter collection sashayed through the stunning crowd, taking guests further into the jungle, where the competition for the night’s luxury raffle drawing was fierce! One lucky winner will be looking smokin’ hot this fall, compliments of MAC Cosmetics who gave away a first edition of the soon to be released Love’s Devine Kit from their winter collection, with all the elements to create the perfect “cat eyes.” While the night’s Grand Prize Winner will soon find himself jetting off to Kenya for a 4-day Safari for two at Saruni Samburuincluding accommodations, breakfast, lunch and dinner, and day and night game drives, valued at US$4000, compliments of Hong Kong’s most renowned safari outfitter Asia to Africa Safaris.

From the wilds of the African desert to the even wilder jungle of Hong Kong, we’ve heard the call. . . Tuesdays are the new Fridays!
