PINK Different

Lights, camera, action? Only if they’re PINK! Breast Cancer Awareness Month officially kicks off this week, with a show-stopping line-up of new PINK Revolution experiences going on all around town. Live on the scene, we find out where to dine, shop, spa and stay to support this very important cause…

Eat + Drink PINK
Glowing brighter than ever for the third year running, the iconic façade of The Peninsula Hong Kong has been lit entirely in PINK in support of the Kong Hereditary Breast Cancer Family Registry. Everything’s coming up roses inside the hotel as well, with a PINK Afternoon Tea in The Lobby, featuring The Pen’s famous scones and pink cakes galore, with $40 from each tea set being donated to the Registry. Head up to Felix from 6 – 8pm, where you can enjoy staggering sunset views and a Sunset in PINK 3-course dinner (HK$468 + 10%) including a pink cocktail or glass of rose wine, with 100% of proceeds donated to the Registry. Slip in to The Bar for a Pink Bliss Martini or sashay over to Salon de Ning for their Pink Hours from 6-9pm, where you will receive a “Peninsula in PINK” pin as a gift and a donation of HK$40 will be made for every special PINK cocktail you order. Cheers to being positively PINK!

Shop PINK
Cover up your pink parts with luscious lingerie from Sheer. Whether you prefer dusty rose or deep magenta, cosy PJs or fluttery silks, you’ll receive 15% off anything PINK during the month of October. Support this scent-sational cause with a spritz of the newly launched “Rose Perfection” fragrance by Parisian perfume house Robert Piguet. For each bottle sold during October, 15% will benefit Hong Kong Cancer Fund (HK$1350, exclusively available at Lane Crawford ifc mall). Next, trot on over to Ralph Lauren where you can shop the designer’s much-adored Pink Pony collection with 25% going to HKCF, or snap up the iconic “Pink Pony Soft Ricky Bag” and 50% will go to HKCF. You’ll be doing good and looking even better!

Stay PINK
The lights of the Cotai Strip have gone PINK this month, with the Conrad Macao’s stunning Plush for PINK campaign in full swing. Upgrade your stay to the Plush for PINK package for an extra MOP288+ and you’ll receive pink experiences galore, from pink afternoon teas and pink cocktails to take away pink surprises, plus Conrad Macao will donate MOP80 to HKCF in your honour.  Then, at checkout you will have the option to donate another MOP10 for a chance to win a pink Rolex watch! If you’re passing by the Gift Shop, don’t miss the chance to purchase Conrad Macao’s Plush for PINK “Paisley Teddy Bear” and “Sparkly Rubber Ducky” – these adorable limited edition toys have already been a hit with celebs around Asia, and are selling out fast, with 100% of proceeds going to Hong Kong Cancer Fund. Spa PINK
Embrace the power of positivity with the “Inner Strength Body Treatment” at The Mandarin Spa. This 90-minute therapeutic and holistic treatment uses a special oil developed by the founder of Aromatherapy Associates during her treatment for cancer, which harnesses frankincense, vetiver and geranium essential oils to relax the body and clear the mind. Each person who books this treatment will receive a Mandarin Oriental “Life Token,” meaning that a HK$100 donation to HKBCF will be made in their name, which will be matched by an additional HK$100 donation made by Mandarin Oriental, Hong Kong.  (HK$1,500 Mon – Thurs, HK$1,700 Fri – Sun) Have your tootsies pampered and toes polished PINK at The Nail Library to support their “Paint Your Nails PINK!” campaign. Throughout October you can choose any pink shade from their range of lacquers including Tom Ford, Chanel, YSL, Butter London, Ciate and more, and 50% of all proceeds from your mani or pedi will go to Hong Kong Breast Cancer Foundation. (PINK Manis HK$185, PINK Pedis HK$295, PINK Shellac Manis HK$395) You’ll be PINK from tip to toe in no time!
