What you can feel smug about: Veggie fare comprising wholesome, organic ingredients, sourced from local farms where possible. Gluten-free options galore and artisanal products also for grabs.
Guilt-free, yet oh-so-good: Four words. Coconut brown rice pudding. We can’t think of a better way to start the day, who knew healthy could taste this good? The GP acai berry bowl with coconut, fresh fruit and buckwheat lemon-poppy seed granola is a perfect refresher for a sweltering summer morning while hearty veggie curries keep you warm and toasty on chilly spring nights. What you can feel smug about: Gluten-free baking at its best, plenty of plant-based dishes, all approved by their own nutritional therapist. Loads of options for those with special dietary requirements, which means no eye rolling when you rattle off ingredient substitutions.
Guilt-free, yet oh-so-good: Delectable gluten-free sandwiches – go for the smoked salmon and goat’s cheese. And treats you can actually feel good about scoffing, like the luscious orange and vanilla cake. We can’t wait to get back to try their new apple spice chocolate doughnuts with Himalayan salt. Fresh pressed juices and hearty salads designed by chef and nutritionist Justin Chan. The focus here is organic where possible, local fruit and veg, fresh herbs and spices, whole grains and responsibly raised meat.

For those that aren’t quite ready to take the meat-free leap, Locafama is famous for their 48-hour short ribs, cooked sous vide with kimchi, salsa and homemade chilli. What you can feel smug about: If the Just Green organic convenience store is one of your regular haunts, you’ll love their cute Lokali café, which features organic drinks, gluten-free cakes, hormone-free meat and sustainable fish.
Guilt-free, yet oh-so-good: After browsing the Star Street boutiques, refuel for more retail therapy with the perfectly pink pomegranate and quinoa salad or the delectable quesadillas. Afternoon pick-me-ups include the beetberry smoothie, a gorgeous blend of mixed berries, yoghurt, honey and mint, which goes down a treat with the delightful crunch of the organic millet square with almond, apricot and sesame.
