Get Your Rocks Off

It’s ok to confess that from time to time, you sorta, kinda miss being in your high school band.  The rock star outfits (which seemed uber-cool at the time), the street cred, which deemed you high school royalty, the screaming fans chanting along to your own heart-felt lyrics, and the underlying sizzling chemistry between you and the brooding drummer…those were the days.  Alas, the life of a rocker wasn’t meant to be for you. But there’s no better time than the present to get your rocks off and let the head banging begin again, with a star studded line up of rock stars coming our way.

It’s oh so quiet, and so peaceful until…the eccentric Icelandic trip-hop queen takes to the HK stage after a 10-year hiatus.  Her emotionally charged songs, dramatic performances and quirky disposition will have you falling in love, zing boom! (Thurs 28 Feb, 8pm. $480-$780 HK Ticketing. Asia World Arena, Chek Lap Kok)

Harry Connick Jr.
It had to be… him! Harry Connick Jr. is coming to town and hopefully he’ll save the last dance for us. With his world-renowned big band style, this New Orleans crooner will sweep you off your feet. (Wed 19 March, 8pm. $290-$690 HK Ticketing, HKCEC, Harbour Road, Wan Chai)

Maroon 5
The LA pop quintet are claiming to sound “sexier, sweeter and darker” than ever before.  Makes me wonder whether bopping around to these funky tunes while watching five hotties in action will make it harder to breathe. (Wed 19 March, 8pm.  $290-$690 HK Ticketing. Asia World Arena, Chek Lap Kok)
