Restaurant Week Turns Up the Heat

Winter blues have you snuggled up on the sofa in your sweat pants? Put down the take-out, slip on your leather leggings and hit the street! Hong Kong Restaurant Week is back and better than ever, with the city’s top tables serving up three-course gourmet lunches and dinners for eye-poppingly low prices. And if that wasn’t enough to clear your diary, Dim Sum & Then Some readers will have exclusive access to the Restaurant Week online booking system starting this Friday at 10am, 3 FULL DAYS before anyone else in the city! 

This winter, DiningCity Hong Kong Restaurant Week will run from February 21– March 2 2014, with 85 incredible restaurants now participating including some almost impossible to book hotspots, many new favourites, and even a few Michelin-star spots. To celebrate the biggest foodie event of the season, each restaurant has prepared a special 3-course menu featuring its signature seasonal dishes for both lunch and dinner. Prices start from just HK$98 for lunch and HK$258 for dinner, including a mouthwatering appetizer, entrée and dessert!

Restaurants on the “Hot List” this year include: hipper than thou Fish & Meat, SoHo’s sizzling new steak frites spot La Vache, just-opened Japanese Youka, much adored new gastrobar Common Room, the all-new harbourside Spasso, always amazing Blue Butcher, casual Hollywood Road hideaway Les Fils a Maman, Indonesian Michelin bib gourmand IR1968, Italian stallions Doppio ZeroLinguini Fini, and Divino Patio, Wyndham street favs CVCHE and Restoration, sky high terrace-tastic Tapagria, hotel fine dining spots WHISK at The Mira and Above & Beyond at Hotel Icon, and Hung Hom’s trio of gastronimc excellence; Italian Messina, Japanese Kazuo Okada and 1-Michelin Star Cantonese Yu Lei.

The chefs at each restaurant will be in residence pulling out all the stops with seasonal ingredients, and innovative menus. And you can expect them to roll out the red carpet with VIP treatment and service, as Restaurant Week diners are encouraged to submit reviews of their experience and all participating restaurants are competing to be voted in as the city’s top spot.

All Restaurant Week reservations can be booked online and will open to the public on February 17th. But as HK’s most savvy and in-the-know diners, Dim Sum & Then Some readers will have the chance to begin making Restaurant Week reservations on Friday, February 14th at 10:00am3 FULL DAYS before anyone else in the city. For Exclusive Priority Access to the reservations system, Dim Sum & Then Some will email out a Secret Code at 9:45am on Friday morning.
