Birthday Bash & Then Some

Tuesday, March 11, 2008 — Dim Sum & Then Some brought together more than 250 Hong Kong trendsetters and style-makers for our 1st Anniversary Party, a fabulous fête that’s been a year in the making. A year in the world’s most exciting city has taken us from the best restaurant openings to the debut of our favourite fashion brands in HK to the hottest talk-of-the-town events, and none more so than our sizzling 1st Anniversary Party.

Seductive Setting
KEE Club the city’s most exclusive and intimate venue was transformed into a sultry den of burlesque seduction, especially for Dim Sum & Then Some’s anniversary soiree. To set the scene, a giant sign and light bulb installation transported guests “backstage” at a burlesque show.  Guests entered a boudoir, filled with plush furnishing, flirtatious accessories, siren red cocktails and smoldering sounds for a party like they’d never seen before.

Theatrical Temptations
Glamorous models sporting Lane Crawford’s sultry, chic Kiki de Montparnasse lingerie line sashayed throughout the venue.  DJ Kulu was at the turntables spinning lounge house and smooth grooves. And a burlesque dancer tempted guests with a series of provocative performances. Enticing attendees to learn some limber moves of their own, PURE sponsored PURE fitness and yoga memberships for four lucky winners. Calamansi Bijoux sponsored exquisite pieces from their decadent collection made with pearls, the timeless and desirable gem of choice for any classy burlesque dancer.

Weekend Wish
The highly anticipated W Hotel Hong Kong, which is due to open later this year, gave away two W weekend stay packages as the evening’s grand prizes. The first was a Girls’ Getaway Weekend including 2 nights in a Luxury Suite, plus 2 special treatments at Bliss spa, and a bottle of champagne at WooBar. The second coveted prize was a Couple’s Weekend package including 2 nights in a Fabulous Room, dinner for 2 at Fire, movie tickets for 2 at UA Elements, and room service breakfast. Perhaps wishes do come true!

Luscious Libations
Cointreau sponsored sexy red “Cointreaupolitans” for attendees to sip in style throughout the evening.  Glamorous guests got to shake things up at the Cointreau martini bar where their mixologist moves were a performance in their own right. KEE’s Michelin-starred chef provided delectable canapés, which were a tantalizing palate pleasing pleasure. Plus, to make it a true birthday bash a giant 3-dimensional cake was created including pink icing, feathers, pearls and a glamorous burlesque dancer perched at the top. The candles were blown out, the lights were dimmed and the room brimmed with seductive celebration…

What happens next? Stay tuned to find out…cause we don’t just give you the best of the best, we give you all that & then some!
