Welcome to MargaritavilleYep, we know. It’s been hurting us too. Like you, we’ve been averting our eyes whenever making our way down Wyndham Street. An accidental glance at the shadow left by our beloved Prive would be way too much to bear. That ache in the pit of your stomach as you survey the crowdless curb, all those misty water-colored memories of the way things were…we feel you. Well, kiddos, you can finally shake off the nostalgia that’s been haunting you and open those eyes to the newest, most caliente kid on the block, Socialito.

The gaping void has been filled. It’s time to usher in the era of the Fiesta Mexicana.

We understand your skepticism. It’s a tough act to follow. But Socialito packs a triple threat punch, combining a taqueria, restaurant, and discoteca, wrapped in one delightful burrito of a venue.  You can finally get your eat on, your drink on, and your dance on, to complete satisfaction, all in one fabulous place. Looking for a quickie? Pull up a stool at the taqueria and crunch on a tuna tostada or sip a bacon chocolate margarita. Bet you’ll have a hard time picking just one drink from the dizzying selection of artisanal mixes, micheladas, and horchata they’re rocking. Got a little more time to look for that lost shaker of salt? What looks like the door to the kitchen is actually a speakeasy-style entrance to the more formal restaurante, where you will be able to feast on refined Mexican and Latin American cuisine. But everyone knows that this space was made for dancing. As soon as dinner has concluded, Socialito will transform itself into the discoteca of your dreams, spinning Latin grooves, soul, funk, house and more, even bringing in live percussionists on extra special nights. Now there’s only one more decision to make: La Bamba, La Macarena or La Cucaracha?  The choice is yours.

So andale, andale! Grab your sombrero and get wasted away again at Socialito. All the tacos, tamales and tequila you could ever want, but strictly BYOP.  That’s Bring Your Own Pinata, gringo.
