SoHo, So GoodMaybe it was the opening of the ever-enchanting Yardbird, or maybe it was its close proximity to the hip and happening cafes and galleries of Sheung Wan but somewhere along the way SoHo’s Staunton Street has begun a revolution…

Brand new vegetarian resto Herbivores (No. 35) features just two communal dining tables, so you may end up sharing a lot more than just your pumpkin carbonara with your neighbor as the meal goes on.  Especially if the evening’s antics takes you to Portrait Winemakers & Distillers (No. 31), the area’s most atmospheric watering hole, featuring handcrafted wines and spirits all made right here in Hong Kong.

And with that, we’ve barely turned the corner…  Walk a few paces down to the city’s coolest and most comprehensive denim bar, Indigo (No. 32a) featuring brands from around the world and beautiful tops, tees and accessories to match. From there, it’s time to set your sights upon the enchanting new Vera Wang HK Flagship Store (No. 39) a multi-level townhouse filled with the designer’s ethereal bridal gowns and dazzling red-carpet creations, featuring a tucked away outdoor courtyard, exclusively for shoppers. Continue your stroll just a few meters and you will find yourself at the first centrally located showroom of much-adored yoga and fitness brand Lululemon (No. 53), which features a wide range of the men’s and women’s collections, plus weekly complimentary community classes for neighbors in the know. And step (or jump!) up to German-brand and HK newcomer Marco Visconti (No. 63), whose dazzling dresses, flowy tops, dressy shorts and ethereal printed scarves have just the right elements to take you from business meetings to post-work cocktails, which brings us back to exactly where we started…at Yardbird.

Talk about a revolution!
