California VintageGood news travels fast…and the latest buzz on the food scene is about Wyndham’s Street wine bar California Vintage. Not only Napa, the team behind California Vintage have partnered directly with a select group of 22 family-owned wineries throughout the region to hand pick the 80 premiere wines available at the restaurant. Native Californian Sommelier Eric Fung describes starting a relationship with wine as similar to dating.  This is one of the reasons that the wine at California Vintage is served by the taste (getting to know you), the half-glass (coming back for more), the full-glass (making a commitment) or the bottle (taking it to the next level), and once you’re really serious, you can even take ‘em home to meet mama with the restaurant’s home delivery program.  For a match made in culinary heaven, California Vintage has created a seasonal pairing menu, in which various California wine country foodie favourites are paired with complementary styles of wine; Baja Fish Tacos with Sparkling & Light White, Grilled Cheese with Sliced Green Apple with Full-Bodied White and California Flatbread with Salmon Salad with Rose & Light Red. Ready to take things up a notch? Select and sample all 80+ wines independently using the smartcard-enabled Napa Technology dispensing machines or find out more about your favourites on the info-loaded iPad menus on every table.  We’ve heard through the grapevine that a series of fun and lighthearted Sommelier led wine classes will be starting this summer along with a Sunday afternoon series where a selection of wines and delectable canapés will be flowing to create a casual street-side affair. With the mouth-watering food, the palate pleasing wines and the casually intimate ambience, would we be up for going on a date with California Vintage again soon?  Wine Not?
