In that kitchen that is! Starting on select Saturdays from now until December, InterContinental Hong Kong will be commencing a full series of “Cooking with the Culinary Stars” master classes. Hong Kong’s most celebrated chefs from InterContinental’s highly esteemed Michelin starred restaurants SPOON by Alain Ducasse (2-stars), Yan Toh Heen (1-star), THE STEAK HOUSE winebar + grill (1-star), and the internationally acclaimed NOBU InterContinental will be teaching students how to sauté, steam and sizzle their way to tantalizing taste buds.
Whether you’re a kitchen klutz or domestic diva, the InterContinental’s chefs will be teaching you to finesse your skills in the arts of French, Japanese, Cantonese and American cuisine. April 6th kicks off at 10.30am with THE STEAK HOUSE’s Chef Calvin Choi teaching us how to make wow-factor soups, stocks and sauces. May 4th will see NOBU’s Sushi Chef Hideki Endo presiding over a class on appetizers, and just in time for summer on June 4th SPOON’s Chef Philippe Duc will be teaching us how to cook lobster, crab, scallops and prawns. Classes include a full service lunch featuring dishes from the class and wine pairing (HK$1,488, 2 hour class).
The new kid on the block is InterContinental’s “Baking Club” led by SPOON by Alain Ducasse’s Pastry Chef extraordinaire, Jerome Husson, who will be teaching participants how to spin sugar, whisk eggs, and much more, to create delectable sweet treats. The Baking Club kicks off on April 13th with Cheesecake, moves on to Breads and Pastries on May 11th, and cools things down with Ice Cream and Sorbets on June 15th (HK$1,888, 4 hour class).
And the winner is… you!
