Best Foot ForwardWhether you’ve caught a glimpse of them on Hollywood’s most stylish starlets, spotted them on your most fashion forward friends or seen them sparkle on the tootsies of the city’s most up-to-date toddlers, TOMS are making headlines, turning heads and warming hearts from the West Coast to the Far East.

This season, Lane Crawford has partnered with TOMS’ founder Blake Mycoskie to celebrate and embrace the foot and eyewear brand’s incredible One for One movement, with which every purchase donates a new pair of shoes or prescription glasses to a child in need.

The inspirational Mycoskie was in town this week to launch the 6-week Lane Crawford and TOMS initiative and to generate awareness for his goal of “creating a better tomorrow by taking compassionate action today.” Highlights of the program include an auction of specially, designed one-of-a-kind TOMS, created by local and international artists with proceeds going to Hong Kong based foundation, Changing Young Lives, and a dedicated “Style Your Sole” area, where guests can use their White TOMS as a blank canvas to be decorated with paint, glitter, beading and accessories.  Need a helping hand? Every Saturday and Sunday through November 18, students from Savannah College of Art and Design will be in the LC IFC store to help you design your footloose and fancy-free creations.

It’s time to put one foot in front of the other and head into Lane Crawford to check out the beautifully designed TOMS display and learn more about the uplifting charitable story behind the brand.  You’ll also have the chance to try on and buy from the current men’s, women’s and children’s footwear lines as well as the new eyewear collection, and be a part of changing the world.  So far, over 2,000,000 pairs of shoes have been given out to children in need in more than 40 countries…definitely a step in the right direction!
