Special Dish: The 10 Things We Wuv About W
You wished for a home away from home with…décor and ambience more hip and sophisticated than even your own closet, the city's sexiest rooftop pool to while away afternoons in style, a spa unlike anything Asia has ever seen before, and service that provides you whatever you want whenever you want it. Be careful what you wish for, it may come true! W Hong Kong is finally here and it's set to wow you and woo you with its wonderful, whimsical fabulousness. How do we love W? Let us count the ways… 
1 – Wonderland. If pampering is your passion, welcome to the mother-ship. With a cult following of A-List celebs in London and New York, Asia's first Bliss spa has opened its heavenly doors on the 72nd floor of the W Hong Kong. Girls can bliss out with the oh-so-intoxicating triple oxygen facial, decadent massages using Bliss body butters, and movie-while-you-mani and pedi stations in a super-luxe space with nail polish installation walls and a moving sushi-style belt carrying in your colours and creams of choice. Guys can indulge in special men's treatments like the “homme improvement” followed by a stint in the HK's most expensive massage chair and a dip in the vitality pools with jaw-dropping views of the HK skyline…if you thought you were blissed out before, just you wait!
2 - West. Location, Location, Wocation. W Hong Kong is perched above Elements Mall, the sleek shopping spot with all of our favourite brands under one roof. This makes W's cosy, gorgeously appointed Living Room lounge the perfect place to refresh with a post-shopping pick me up or to fuel the night ahead with 1 (or 3!) of their delicious “Sake to Me” cocktails. Only 5 minutes by MTR from Hong Kong Station and just 17 minutes from the airport, it's time to say sayonara Central and hello to wild and wonderful West Kowloon! 
3- Wishes. Click, click, flash, flash. Checking into a W gets you onto the red carpet and behind the invisible velvet rope at the world-renowned W Happenings events. Celebrity DJ nights and art events, like the recent Claude Challe gig and the upcoming Andy Warhol exhibit, as well as fabulous partnership events (like the Dim Sum & Then Some and Bliss Spa Opening Party on November 16th, save the date!) are a staple on the must-do diary for W guests and friends. Projecting over W's 6th floor Living Room lounge, the wall's angled mirrors reveal colourful butterflies, which light up the space from morning ‘til midnight. 
5 – Wild. W's signature fine dining restaurant, FIRE, is a treat for all the senses. With stunning interiors by celebrated Japanese designer Yasimuchi Morita and an out of this world menu created by Kiwi Culinary Director Michael Poutawa, FIRE will leave you both pleasantly surprised and wholly entranced. Daringly delicious dishes include Grilled Watermelon with Goat Cheese and Tomato Foam, Wagyu Beef so tender it can be cut with a spoon and a completely redefined and supremely sumptuous Suckling Pig.
6 – Weekends. Looking for a weekend escape that's “Wonderful,” “Fabulous,” or simply “WOW”? As the room names suggest, W is ready to indulge your every whim with stellar service and stunning spaces. No matter which room you book, W's signature feather bed with pillow-top mattress, 400-threadcount sheets and goose-down comforter are waiting to envelop, in-bathroom LCD TVs are yours to watch as you soak in the cavernous tub and a Munchie Box of sweet and savoury snacks is there to satiate cravings (of any sort!). 
7 – Wellness. What's more crisp, fresh and fulfilling than a ripe green apple? The W's signature fruit can be found everywhere from the décor to the desserts. 10 – Wet. The 76th floor, with unadulterated views of the cityscape is home to the W's outdoor swimming pool, jacuzzi and Wet bar, soon to be HK's sexiest and most sought after rooftop destination.
