Special Invitation: Oktoberfest

You've been a little behind all year. You took the Christmas tree down in March, unpacked the Chinese New Year suitcases in May, and are ashamed to admit you found (and ate!) a Cadbury chocolate Easter egg from your fridge just two weeks ago. Although autumn is speeding by so fast that you're starting to wonder whether it was worth it to take the tree down at all, you can rest assured that you're still in time to attend one of the biggest and best parties of the season. This year, the Mandarin Oriental Macau will celebrate Oktoberfest from November 7-16, with a special Dim Sum & Then Some event on Saturday, November 8th. Hop on the ferry and don your dirndl (or anything that might resemble traditional beer maiden outfit from your closet!) for an authentic Oktoberfest experience filled with enough genuine Bavarian beer, hearty German food and wine, and ambient live music to keep you kick-stepping all night long… Dim Sum and Then Some

The sound of oompah, the buzz of jovial merriment and the aroma of sizzling bratwurst…no other party on the planet compares to Oktoberfest. To celebrate the 175th anniversary of the original Oktoberfest in Munich, the Mandarin Oriental Macau will create one of the most exciting events in all of Asia. Follow your nose to the 25-metre-long Munich beer tent, complete with authentic wooden tables and a bustling beer garden. The Mandarin Oriental's chefs will be manning the helm of a huge outdoor Bavarian barbecue grilling up some of the most famous German sausages including Thueringer roast and Munich white. Among the other sizzling delights to satisfy your comfort food cravings will be fire-roasted spicy chicken with potato salad, cured pig's knuckle with sauerkraut and homemade pretzels and sweet mustard. Fill up your 1-litre mug with the special Paulaner Oktoberfest brew or a tamer glass with crisp German Riesling and get ready to sing and dance the night away as a six-piece German band flown in directly from Munich works their magic in the marquee.

On Saturday, November 8th, from 5:00pm until midnight, the Mandarin will be holding a special event, where we can celebrate Oktoberfest Dim Sum & Then Some style. There will be a Dim Sum VIP section of the tent reserved just for us brimming with treats and surprises. Dim Sum VIP tickets for the evening will be MOP$300 per person, which includes a complimentary entrance worth MOP$50 and a Food & Beverage voucher worth MOP$360, enough for all the lagers and bratwurst your tummy can handle!
